After being ejected from a Humvee in Iraq and enduring a severe neck injury, David Booth faced a long, arduous recovery but defied the odds to walk again and build a fulfilling life. Living with PTSD, a TBI, and daily pain, he perseveres by dedicating himself to helping others through his nonprofit, Combat Veterans to Careers.

We’re honored to share the story of Christopher David Holbrook, who dedicated over 22 years to serving his country and protecting his family. Never one to seek recognition, he has always prioritized the needs of others, earning the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal for his unwavering commitment.

We’re honored to share the story of Bruce Mallick, a father whose 20-plus years of service in the US Army included tours in Vietnam, Germany, and Panama. Beyond his military career, he dedicated himself to mentoring future leaders as an ROTC instructor, shaping the paths of over a hundred officers.

Serving in the USMC in assault amphibious operations, Donald Chrystie carried the values instilled by the military into every aspect of his life. Even after facing the devastating loss of his son, he continues to demonstrate strength and unwavering dedication to his family and country.

Richard McCombs is a man whose service to both his country and his community reflects his unwavering dedication to others. Richard served 23 years in the National Guard, rising to the rank of Major, and played a pivotal role in crisis situations like the hurricane relief efforts in Florida in 1992.

Russell Edgett is a combat veteran whose journey of service and sacrifice extends far beyond his military career. Russell entered the Army later than most, never expecting to see combat, but after 9/11, he volunteered for every deployment opportunity.

Ryan Groves is a Purple Heart Veteran who devoted 23 years of service to the United States Army. Throughout his military career, he made countless sacrifices, deploying numerous times to protect the freedoms we cherish today.

Wayne Pugh is a retired Air Traffic Control Senior Chief whose dedication to service and leadership left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of serving with him. Onboard the USS John F. Kennedy, Wayne was not only a mentor and friend but also a mission-focused leader with an exceptional heart.

John J. Richardson is a World War II veteran who, at nearly 98 years old, continues to inspire with his unwavering dedication to his country. Having served in the Philippines during the war, his resilience and service are a testament to his remarkable life.

Robert "Bobo" Stanwood is a dedicated Army Ranger and Delta Force operative who served his country with unwavering bravery for 23 years. Despite sustaining severe injuries—including a leg amputation after multiple surgeries—Bob’s resilience and patriotism led him to continue his missions in Iraq as an amputee.

Matthew Tierson is a Marine Combat Veteran who has transformed his experiences into meaningful support for his community. As Commander of his local VFW, he has devoted himself to uplifting fellow veterans through initiatives like care packages, Wounded Warrior events, and monthly Buddy Checks, providing a lifeline to those facing similar struggles.
