Throughout our Flags for Heroes campaign, we've had the privilege of learning about the incredible veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. These stories, filled with sacrifice and resilience, serve as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of patriotism.

We’re honored to share the story of David R Booth, an extraordinary Veteran whose resilience and dedication are unmatched.

Story submitted by Paige Booth “David is an extraordinary Veteran who has shown remarkable resilience throughout his life! After being ejected from a Humvee in Iraq and suffering a severe neck injury, he underwent a long and challenging recovery process. Despite the odds, he regained the ability to walk and now leads a fulfilling life. David lives with PTSD, a TBI, and daily pain, yet he perseveres through each day by dedicating himself to his passion for helping others. He founded a nonprofit organization called Combat Veterans to Careers, a 501(c)(3), where he works closely with fellow Veterans. This work serves as his therapy, allowing him to connect with others who share similar experiences. Had it not been for his medical discharge, David would still be serving in the Army today. His commitment to supporting Veterans is evident in his daily actions. Living in Florida, he is no stranger to hurricanes. In the days leading up to the last hurricane, as well as in the aftermath, David continuously checked in on his Veterans and volunteers. He ensured they had the fuel, generators, and the support they needed to stay safe and secure. David consistently goes above and beyond, embodying the spirit of service and dedication that inspires those around him. He is my Hero!"

Thank you, David, for your honorable service, sacrifice, and dedication.
