We are honored to share the story of Zach Waters, a true patriot whose journey reflects a lifelong commitment to serving and protecting his country.
Story submitted by James Waters “My son, Zach, has been a patriot since he was a little boy and always gravitated towards serving his country. He would follow me around and always wanted to put on my gear, Army or Swat, he just loved pretending to bring justice to those who were needing it. At 19 years old the pretending stopped and he enlisted in the Army on an 11XRay option 40 contract and never looked back. He eventually became an Army Ranger with the 2nd Ranger Regiment at Fort Lewis, Washington. His goals were to go as far as possible in the special forces world and serve his country. Unfortunately, all it takes is a very bad jump to change everything. He and several of his fellow Rangers were seriously hurt while training for an upcoming mission. Zach suffered a TBI, severe back and hip problems and eventually was medically discharged. His dreams unrealized, the chronic issues and problems a constant reminder of hopes dashed, he has persevere and continues to adjust to this new normal. He is still very much a patriot who loves this country and proudly supports those who serve. I believe he would be greatly encouraged and honored to receive such a great gift of one of the beautiful flags your company makes. Thank you for this act of kindness and thank you for considering my son!"
Thank you, Zach, for your honorable service, sacrifice, and dedication.
