Throughout our Flags for Heroes campaign, we've had the privilege of learning about the incredible veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. These stories, filled with sacrifice and resilience, serve as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of patriotism.
We’re honored to share the story of Isaiah Hugger, a hero whose selfless dedication and resilience exemplify the true spirit of service.
Story submitted by Kristina Hugger: "He is a 100% disabled vet he deployed to Afghanistan and he continues to try and help other veterans through the VFW. His personal goal is to save 1 vet a day to prevent the 22 a day from even being a number. He gives back through blood, sweat, and tears to make sure a veteran is helped. He goes out to hospitals and does a feed-the-veterans day where he takes his personal money and buys meals for homeless veterans. He does not get the recognition he deserves and his response is always ‘I’m a Rakkasan and a grunt when I’m acknowledged that means something’s wrong’ lol. He beat the odds by fighting his own personal demons and is still standing. Thank you, the loving wife of a Hero."
Thank you, Isaiah, for your honorable service, sacrifice, and dedication.
