Throughout our Flags for Heroes campaign, we've had the privilege of learning about the incredible veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. These stories, filled with sacrifice and resilience, serve as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of patriotism.
We’re honored to share the story of Terry, a Vietnam veteran who served on the USS Juneau (LPD-10) and has transformed his own challenges with PTSD into a lifelong mission to help fellow veterans.
Story submitted by Tina Buch: "Terry was on the USS Juneau (LPD-10) in Vietnam. He has PTSD from his experience but has found his purpose in retirement by donating his time at the Kokomo, Indiana DAV helping other wounded vets receive their deserved disability. He helps them through the whole process and even goes to court with them. Terry deals with his PTSD by using his experience to help others with theirs. Terry has organized the national USS Juneau reunions for many years. His heart is for others and carrying the torch for veterans. When he takes his 1966 Mustang to car shows, he uses his car to display a memorial for veterans and can often be found making sure every veteran has been taken care of. He is humble, a patriot and one of the best humans I know. Please consider Terry for one of your amazing USA flags. Thank you for what you do to help our US economy and what you stand for! God bless the USA!"
Thank you, Terry, for your honorable service, sacrifice, and dedication.
