Throughout our Flags for Heroes campaign, we've had the privilege of learning about the incredible veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. These stories, filled with sacrifice and resilience, serve as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of patriotism.
We’re honored to share the story of Frederick A. Zehrer III, a remarkable Air Force veteran whose distinguished career has been matched only by his dedication to supporting fellow veterans and his community.
Story submitted by Steve Cox: "Rick had a long distinguished career in the Air Force (see his official bio here.) Since retirement he has served on many Boards with Defense contractors and more recently with physical/emotionally struggling veteran's support/assistance at Restoration Ranch (https://www.restorationranch.org), Lake Travis Christmas Hope (support for families of severely wounded warriors @ San Antonio Military Medical Center) and others. At 82 Rick tirelessly offers his time to those veteran's support teams as well as Crisis Ministries (food bank for those in need) and speaks regularly at veteran's and patriotic events."
